TOKYO, July 5, 2007 – Nikon-Trimble
Co., Ltd. (Takashi Tanzawa, Representative Director & CEO,) has announced
its business integration with surveying division of Zao Nikon Corporation
(Akio Nakazawa, Representative Director, President), a production plant
of semiconductor manufacturing equipment units and surveying instruments,
and re-launch business under the newly integrated production-sales
system.
Up until now Nikon-Trimble has outsourced manufacturing of its in-house products to Zao Nikon, wholly-owned subsidiary of Nikon Corporation. This integration of manufacturing division aims to establish an integrated system of surveying instrument business and to strengthen competitiveness by unifying Nikon-Trimble’s strong development power and sales network with Zao Nikon’s production know-how and manufacturing technology. With this integration Nikon-Trimble is committed to provide high-quality products and services even in a more timely manner to further satisfy its customers.
